Policy Development

The single most important element in our organization's fight against drug and alcohol abuse is the policy statement. A well written policy defines what your organization will not condone, what steps you will take to combat drug and alcohol abuse, and advises your employees of help and sanctions your organization will use. Memorial Hospital of Towanda works closely with your human resources, legal and security staff to develop a policy that both informs your employees and protects you from challenges that may arise.

Program Administration

Memorial Hospital of Towanda provides you with all aspects of program administration including, routine reporting to regulatory agencies, random pool administration and selection, laboratory selection and coordination, specimen collection, breath alcohol test coordination, result tracking and control and data base management.

Regulatory Compliance

As with any field that is heavily influenced by both state and federal activity, Substance Abuse Program Compliance is difficult and time consuming. This situation is exacerbated by the relative newness of both the legislation and litigation regulating the industry and evolving standards and procedures. Memorial Hospital of Towanda dedicates itself to staying abreast of changes and new regulations and developments to assure you that your program is in compliance and not exposing your organization to unnecessary risks.

The importance of having a dedicated staff to routinely monitor changing regulations can not be understated. Memorial Hospital's staff is dedicated to monitoring the daily changes that effect employers. When a regulatory change is made, such as testing rates and new cutoff levels, Memorial Hospital of Towanda will automatically adjust the client's program and notify the client.

Medical Review Officer

The Medical Review Officer is our strongest weapon against successful challenges of decisions based on positive test results. Memorial Hospital of Towanda is associated with the leading Medical Review Officers in the nation and coordinates their services with the laboratory to assure effective and accurate result interpretation and reporting.

COLLECTION SERVICES

On-Site Collections

Memorial Hospital of Towanda provides professional substance abuse specimen collections to employers, laboratories and third party program administrators at competitive rates with uncompromising quality. We will customize collection schedules to minimize disruption of employer operations and employee schedules using the available accommodations at the employer's work site.

Mobile Collections

The mobile service of Memorial Hospital allows us to provide you with on-site collection and breath alcohol testing when suitable facilities are not available. Using specially modified vehicles, Memorial Hospital can help you meet your screening requirement without disrupting your employees work assignment.

Breath Alcohol Testing

Using state-of-the-art equipment, Memorial Hospital's trained technicians will provide your organization with both screening and evidentiary breath testing services at our location or on-site. Memorial Hospital of Towanda uses equipment that has been accepted by D.O.T. and other governing authorities to avoid the problems entailed with some newer technologies which do not have demonstrated track record in accuracy and reliability. Breath alcohol testing is provided at our Client Service Centers and in on-site and mobile modes.
