Care is designed to treat the total person and to help residents reach their highest potential. The nursing staff works with the healthcare team in developing a realistic plan to provide for the physical, emotional, spiritual and recreational needs of the resident.

Our goal is to provide care in a homelike atmosphere with a warn, enthusiastic and understanding manner. To meet this goal, Memorial Hospital's Skilled Nursing Unit provides:

• 24 hour nursing care under the supervision of a registered nurse
  
  
• Medications and treatments administered as prescribed by a licensed physician
  
  
• Activities program to meet the needs of the resident
  
  
• A plan of care individualized for each resident
  
  
• Rehabilitative therapy under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist
  
  
• Speech therapy
  
  
• Occupational therapy
  
  
• Respiratory therapy
  
  
• Podiatry care available by arrangement
  
  
• Dental care available by arrangement
  
  
• Optometric and audiology services available by arrangement
  
  
• Outpatient and same day surgeries available on the premises
  
  
• Laboratory and x-ray services available on the premises
  
  
• Hospital care available on the premises
  
  
• Arrangements made for outside appointments
  
  
• Transfer agreements with other hospitals and nursing homes
