Memorial Hospital's legacy of "Giving Back" is an important part of our heritage that began in 1925 when our founder, Mrs. Hila C. Mills opened the Mills Maternity and Convalescent Home located on South Main Street in Towanda. Giving back to our community has been and will continue to be a natural part of what we do every day.

The mission of Memorial Hospital, Inc., a private nonprofit corporation, is to enhance the quality of life in our community by providing quality healthcare services with integrity and professionalism, in a safe, caring and financially responsible manner, while maintaining the dignity of our patients and residents. In keeping with this mission, the Board of Trustees established the Memorial Hospital Foundation in March 2003. The purpose of the Foundation is to generate resources for the sustainability and advancement of healthcare in the communities the hospital has the privilege to serve.
