Memorial Hospital History

Memorial Hospital received its name during the original construction of the hospital at its present location in 1959. During this time funds raised for the construction came from caring community citizens who saw a need to provide area residents with the most up-to-date healthcare services possible.

The name "Memorial" was selected to impress upon the citizens that the hospital stands as a memorial, not to one person in particular, but to all of those who helped make it possible through donations of money, equipment and time.

Should you wish to continue this tradition, there are a variety of ways in which you can help your hospital, and at the same time, help yourself. Any contribution that you may wish to make can be in the form of a memorial or endowment, a bequest or a trust. Memorial Hospital is a not-for-profit 501 (C) 3 corporation.
