Memorial Hospital Auxiliary
Supports Vision Therapy
Karla Green, OTR/L, Vision Therapy Specialist at Memorial Hospital's Outpatient Therapy
Clinic proudly accepts a generous donation from the Auxiliary. The donation was used to
purchase a 50-inch flat screen television as well as additional equipment to enhance the
vision therapy program. Vision therapy is appropriate for children and adults who need to
improve their visual abilities. Vision therapy at Memorial Hospital is a type of occupational
therapy for the eyes and brain. It can be a highly effective non-surgical treatment for many
common visual problems such as lazy eye, crossed eyes, double vision and some reading and
learning disabilities. Pictured, seated, from left, Karla Green, OTR/L, Marguerite Shaner and
