Memorial Hospital Accepts Generous Donation Patricia and Newman Benson recently presented a generous $100,000 donation to the Memorial Hospital Foundation in support of the hospital’s current expansion and construction project. "We are very pleased to support our community hospital," said Mr. Benson. "The growth and development of Memorial Hospital is very impressive. Excellence is a very important part of success," he said. Mrs. Benson commented, "Since Newman had worked in the Towanda area all his life, he considers it a great pleasure to help with a most worthwhile project in our community." Patty Dawsey thanked the Benson’s for their generosity. "Your contribution will affect the care of so many families in our community," she said.
