THE TOWN IS EXCITED ABOUT THE INDEPENDENCE PARADE CELEBRATION ON JULY 5TH

HERE ARE JUST SOME OF THE EVENTS TAKING PLACE WITH THE PARADE:

%Grand Marshal (Grace Bell) was a military nurse who was stationed by the Battle of the Bulge.  We are paying special tribute to those nurses who served in our military.

%Church Bells Ring to signal start of parade at 7:00 pm

%Parade line up is at 6 pm up on Old Plank Rd (Elm St)

%PARADE STARTS AT 7:00 PM

%Ceremony at or around 8:00 PM at Court House Square featuring the following venue:

·      National Anthem by Judy Black of KZFM Radio

·      Opening remarks from Mayor, Garrett Miller

·      Reading of The Declaration of Independence

·      Reading of Benjamin Franklin’s Speech from Constitutional Convention

·      Pat Ziedner from the Memorial Hospital will provide a speech about the nurses who served in the military during our earlier war times.

·      Key of the City to Grand Marshal Grace Bell presented by Mayor Miller

·      Tina Pickett presents certificates to any veterans who served in the medical field in the military

·      Closing remarks from Mayor Miller

(FREE copy of the Declaration of Independence of The United States Constitution will be handed out after the service)

 

Dry Goods Deli/Plus stop in and try one of our 24 flavors of soft serve ice cream. 

The Country Peddler will be offering 10% off of their products for the night.

Memorial Hospital - Rainbow’s End Thrift Shop Buy One, Get One Free Sale – Complimentary Ice Cold Water

T-Town Bakery offering a buy 2 and get 1 free of their Independence Star Cookies!  Hours will be 7:30 -9 pm

The Weigh Station Café is featuring live music with Kurtis Parks out on our deck.  Very talented singer performing current pop music, enjoy, sit and relax the night with us from 5:30 pm to 8:30 pm!

KZFM Radio the KZFM KraZy KZ Cat will be prowling about so make sure you stop and shake a paw with him.  They will have a live remote.

Ben Franklin’s kids come to make your own kite and parents come look at the items on sale with our Red, White & Blue sale of our products made in the USA!!!!

The Flying Cow Bakery & Café come and enjoy the delicious taste of Chicken Barbeque we are open till 8 pm on Friday!

Guthrie Healthcare visit our table and discover all that we have to offer at Guthrie.

Autism Awareness there will be information along Main Street for support of Autism and projects for the kids to do.

Magic Touch Studio will be performing at the Bradford County Courthouse south, front lawn starting at 5:30 pm till 6:00 pm
