On Wednesday, October 16 at 7:00 pm there will be a community talent
show at the Towanda High School auditorium hosted by Memorial Hospitalís
Linda Ferrario of Memorial Hospitalís Auxiliary is the talent show hostess
and organizer. Andy Boardman will be joining her on stage as co-host for
"We have a wonderful show planned with a variety of local talent.
You wonít want to miss this fabulous show," says Ferrario.
Participants in this yearís talent show include: Pro Musica; Levi Upham;
Karen Ballard; Dynamite Dancers; Lynn Trybula; Brenda Houck; Don Brenner;
NEB Show Choir; Lauren Pryne; Sam Kier; Memorial Hospital Skilled Nursing
Unit staff; Ali Raupers; Jim and Brenda Giffin and Alice Howell; Country
Connection; Judy Black; Ed Schmitt; Shelby Minnier; Pam Mitchell and, of
course, Andy Boardman.
"Memorial Hospital is a vital part of the community and it is
through efforts of all its members that we have such a fine medical
facility in Towanda," Ferrario says. Proceeds from ticket sales
support the generous giving of the Auxiliary to the hospital.
Memorial Hospitalís Auxiliary was presented with an award plaque for having the
most creative fund raising event among all of the Pennsylvania hospital auxiliaries
at the annual Pennsylvania Association of Healthcare Auxiliaries Conference.
"Our annual Talent Show was the winning entry for the most creative fund raising event,"
said Memorial Hospital Auxiliary president Marguerite Shaner.
Reserved tickets are on sale now at the cost of $9.00 for adults; $7.00 for
senior citizens; and $4.00 for students. Tickets at the door will be $10.00
for adults and senior citizens and $5.00 for students. Tickets for the show
are available for purchase at the front desk at Memorial Hospital or by
calling Linda Ferrario at 265-2585.
