Memorial Hospital Employees Donate
To Ugly Quilts for the Homeless

Talented quilting volunteers from the Spring Hill Community Hall are busy creating
warm and cozy, ugly quilts that will be distributed to homeless people. The ugly quilts
are lovingly assembled utilizing recycled materials. Memorial Hospital employees have
donated three car loads of gently used blankets and fabrics that are transformed into
ugly quilts that will be distributed locally and into nearby cities. Pictured are
Catheryn Randall, representing the ugly quilters club, and Larry Wentovich,
Memorial Hospital’s Director of Food, Nutrition and Housekeeping Services.
"We’ve made about 125 ugly quilts since September and plan to make dozens more," said Randall.
