Dr. Sam Wang has joined the dental staff at Memorial Hospital's Bradford County
Dental Health Services, Inc. located on the third floor of the Progress Building in Towanda.
Dr. Wang graduated with a Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering at Columbia
University. He continued his education at the University at Buffalo School of Dental
Medicine where he graduated with the title of Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS).
Dr. Wang says, "I grew up in the city for my entire life and it is refreshing to come
live in a small town like Towanda. Working for Bradford County Dental Health is a
rewarding experience for me to utilize my education into helping the under served in the area."
"In my free time, I enjoy traveling, sports, and spending quality time with my
family and friends," Dr. Wang says.
The mission of the Bradford County Dental Health Services is to provide dental
health prevention, education and treatment for people with a valid ACCESS card,
individuals with low to moderate incomes and no dental insurance; individuals
with United Healthcare Dental benefits; and the United Concordia Chip Program
for kids. For individuals with no benefits, there is an affordable sliding fee program.
This program is based upon the income of the household.
The Dental Clinic serves a regional population of people who would otherwise not
be able to afford quality dental services. Good dental health is very important
for anyone's overall health.
Dental services provided include: Cleanings; Fluoride Treatments; Sealants; Radiographs;
Fillings; Extractions; Dentures; Root Canals; Crowns; and Dental Health Education.
Bradford County Dental Health Services is located on the third floor of the Progress
Building in Towanda. Hours are Monday through Thursday, 8 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.,
Friday, 8 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.
Patients eligible for dental services include: Individuals with a valid ACCESS card,
individuals with low to moderate incomes and no dental insurance. The Dental Clinic
accepts Medical Assistance and United Healthcare HMO. A sliding fee scale is available
